Laos: impressions

Laos is one of the most beautiful, relaxed and unique countries we visited. We quickly fell in love with the landscape, the people and the laid-back vibe. In Laos life revolves around the rivers. The mighty Mekong flows slowly and the pace of life seems to match.

We were charmed by the chilled atmosphere and stunning views.

We found Laos to be remarkably laid-back, friendly and easy to travel around. Everywhere we went it seemed that people were relaxing: on a bed inside their shop/restaurant, in a hammock strung up in the back of a tuk tuk or just sitting outside their house, chatting to neighbors.

Disclaimer: all above pictures were taken during a bus ride between Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng – the most nauseating, but also one of the most scenic bus trips we ever have taken.
